Best Time for Best Deals

So you’re planning a trip to Topsail Island but have no preference of dates. When should you go? That’s generally a matter of opinion but if you ask the locals, it’s May or September! Of course those warm temperatures and great beach days spill over into April and October many seasons.  This year in particular, there were terrific beach days in early March as well. Of course, keep in mind that surfing, walking and the pastime of searching for shells and sharks teeth can be enjoyed year round.  Back to the question of “When should we go to the beach this year?” The first answer is in regards to when it works on your calendar. If your own calendar is not an issue, the why not take advantage of the great rates and weather available in the seasons other than summer? Many companies, including TI Rentals have amazing deals available in the spring and fall seasons.  There are even more deals in the winter with some rates being up to 50% off the summer rates. At TI Rentals, the mid season rates will begin August 18 and go through September 7. Then the off season rates kick in for a huge discount. Take advantage of these great rates on an even less crowded beach. Call us today! 866-535-9977 www.ti-rentals.com

Our Great State

Still undecided on your vacation destination? No matter what you prefer to do on your vacation, it is most likely that you can find it in North Carolina! From the mountains to the beach and everything in between, North Carolina has it all. Amusement parks, lakes, hiking trails, beaches, museums, and the list goes on. The western portion of the state is occupied by the Great Smokey Mountains. There, you’ll find Tweetsie Railroad, the city of Asheville which is home to the famous Biltmore Estate, the Cherokee Indian Reservation, a popular casino, white water rapids and mountain trails for hiking. Going east, Carowinds amusement park can be found in the majestic city of Charlotte, along with the famous Charlotte Motor Speedway which hosts Nascar among other events.  Further east are very well known universities such as North Carolina State University, University of NC at Chapel Hill, and Duke University. Of course there are many other great schools in North Carolina as well! The capitol city of Raleigh is home to many activities, including museums and the annual state fair.  Once you’ve traveled through this great state and gone as far east as you can go, you’ll find yourself here; at the beach. The calm waters of the Atlantic Ocean are a haven for beach-goers and fishermen, families and friends. Much can be found here and will most likely leave you with a peaceful and joyous feeling so call us today. We’ll help to bring you East! 866-535-9977

"Family" Vacations

How is it decided who will go on your family vacation? Today, vacations aren’t quite the same as in the past.  When people of the baby boomer generation and older speak of their family vacations, they were often in the summer, and most likely were with parents and their children. Of course there are exceptions but that seems to be the general consensus. Our times today are very different. When your friend or coworker tells you that he or she is planning a vacation, the first question is in reference to the destination. The second is “Who’s going with you?”  That’s because we often take friends or extended family. Groups have become a normal part of vacation. Many places now offer group discounts. For those that don’t specify the group discount, there is most likely still a financial advantage to taking more people than the immediate family.  If you prefer to stick with the traditional vacation, bring your immediate family and Topsail Island is sure to have the perfect place for you. If however, you choose the motto of “The more, the merrier”; you can find that here as well. Topsail Island offers small town charm with most of the conveniences and accommodations of other vacation destinations. Call us at TI Rentals, let us know who will be coming with you, and we will help you find that place that you’ll one day look back on with fond vacation memories!  Call 866-535-9977 or visit our website TI Rentals

What To Do?

If you’re thinking of coming to the beach for vacation but aren’t sure where to start, let us help! First a foremost, resolve what it is you want out of your vacation. To do that, you’ll consider who will be coming with you.  Children sometimes require a different itinerary than an adult crowd! Brainstorm to decide if you’d like to achieve fun, relaxation or both while on vacation. Next, determine what it is that you would consider being fun or what might help you relax.  For us, the answer is easy to both situations ~ the beach! The beach can include fun and relaxation, at the same time for everyone!
A day at the beach can start with a swim in the brisk ocean or basking in the sun with the sand between your toes.  If you have more energy to exert, check out kite surfing or rent a surf board. Take a walk along the beach with the waves lapping at your feet. Visit the pier and see what fish are being caught each day. A favorite activity among locals is search for shark’s teeth or the perfect shell to take home as a souvenir.  It’s truly amazing how many hours a child can spend splashing around in the waves while parents sit on the shore just taking it all in!
If spending your day in the sand is not your idea of fun or relaxation, perhaps you would be interested in local shops and checking out the unique treasures to be found around the island. A visit to the Sea Turtle Hospital is a must, as well as taking a boat ride. Perhaps you would enjoy a day of fishing in the deep blue on a charter boat. To get a little closer to the water, rent a kayak to paddle around in the waterway. Stop at one of many small islands for a picnic lunch!
The point to this post is that there is something for everyone to do here at Topsail Island. You are sure to find something you will enjoy. Let TI Rentals take care of the accommodations so that you can focus on the fun and relaxation! Call us today at 866.535.9977 or go online to www.ti-rentals.com.

This Past Week's Happenings....

We have had lots going on at Topsail Island over the past week! If you are a fan of Lizard Lick Towing, we hope you had the opportunity to meet the crew at East Coast Sports Saturday, April 7th. In case you are not “in the loop”, Lizard Lick Towing Company is the basis of a reality television show on the truTV network on Monday nights. There was quite a bit of buzz surrounding their visit and many fans showed up for the chance to get autographs and pictures.
Surf City Parks and Recreation held their annual Easter Egg Hunt at Soundside Park on Saturday, April 7th as well. The turnout was tremendous as usual and a great time was had by both adults and their sugar loaded children. The weather could not have been more perfect for a day outdoors.
Several area churches celebrated Easter Sunday by beginning with a sunrise service and continuing worship throughout the day at various times and locations. It is always fun to see our smiling locals and tourists arrive in their best attire for the annual services.
We have also had the opening of two new bakeries in Surf City so be sure to check those out when you get here.
Great news for Cheri’s fans… they are now open for the season so make definite plans to visit while you are here.
Something else for everyone to look forward to – Surf City will be gaining a Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins this year. We can’t wait until it opens!
TI Rentals will do our best to keep you updated on all the changes going on here at Topsail Island!

Spring has Sprung!

Spring has sprung on Topsail Island and it’s as gorgeous as ever. Flowers are blooming, animals are emerging and slowly but surely the beach goers are trickling in. If you live or own at the beach, the time has come to open up those houses and get them ready for the visitors. Inventory should be checked, baseboards dusted and smoke detector batteries replaced. Now is the time to schedule lawn maintenance and air conditioning check-ups. If you are planning to be a visitor, you should be choosing your vacation home and making reservations. While you’re at it, get yourself a new swimsuit and flip flops because you are going to need them! Finding the perfect vacation property is probably easier than you think. You can start one of two ways. Either go online to our website to view properties and do a “search” for which ones fit your needs or you can simply call us and we’ll do the legwork for you! Either way, it isn’t too late to take advantage of some great deals or to find that place that you’ve been dreaming about all winter.

FOR OUR GUESTS:  As you may or may not have heard, it’s been quite a mild winter here on Topsail Island which we hope is indicative of an “early” summer. If it is possible for you to vacation in May or June, book now. Those are the more preferred months by our locals due to less traffic and a more bearable heat. We still have a few properties open for the highly desired Easter week(s) as well so call or visit our website today and we will help you find the perfect vacation property for your family!

FOR OUR OWNERS: It’s that time of year when we start gearing up for the summer season! By that, we mean that it’s now that we begin spring cleaning and restocking properties in order to welcome our guests back. In doing so, keep in mind that Easter is just around the corner and we’d like to have all properties that are open to accept reservations ready for any last minute bookings. If you would like to take care of this yourself, please let us know so that we can inspect them at a later date. However, as your property manager, we would be more than happy to assist you with this endeavor! Call us or email us as soon as possible so that we can work with you to make arrangements!
